Meet the crew!

Lisa Hendrickson

Call That Girl (CTG) is owned and operated by Lisa Hendrickson, and around the metro area Lisa is affectionately referred to as “the IT girl” or “that computer girl”, hence the snappy website: www.callthatgirl.biz . Given that Information Technology is a male-dominated industry, Lisa and Call That Girl offers a new approach to everyday computer woes.

CTG originated in Minneapolis, 2003 as an at home computer repair company focused on supporting women users. CTG was a sole proprietorship in the summer of 2004, and while working at the Mayo Clinic, Lisa found that physicians also needed her computer expertise in their home offices. Lisa has been working ever since supporting a variety of industries, including: Universities, Military Networks, and Research and Development, but she has never forgotten the Call That Girl dream. Lisa and CTG aspire to support all computer users on a level that far exceeds the competition, never compromising value and repair.

Meet the interns!

Hassan Shouman

My name is Hassan Shouman, currently I am a senior in my final semester at the University of Saint Thomas. This May I will graduate with a double major in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. I became a member of Call That Girl in March of 09’ in which I focused on generating new business through various creative marketing strategies. Through the last year my internship has evolved as Call That Girl has expanded into new territories, giving me a unique opportunity to demonstrate my entrepreneurial spirit at work. In an effort to gain a more well rounded experience at Call That Girl I transitioned in the role of the Business Development Manager. The primary responsibilities I have are to establish relationships with prospective businesses in an effort to create key strategic partners for referral purposes.  Also as the Business Development Manager I recently completed a project centered on utilizing geographic information software (GIS) to support an expansion plan into Rochester MN. This project incorporates various demographic/psychographic profiles, competitor analysis and geographic positioning within Rochester, assisting myself and Lisa in finding a location that has the most potential. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and friends. Sports are also a huge passion of mine and to this day I still play Amateur baseball in the summer and fall months which is something I absolutely love and plan on doing for a long time.

Conor Bartness

ConorMy name is Conor Bartness, and I am a senior marketing major at the University of St. Thomas.  Also, I am a marketing intern at Call That Girl, a local computer repair company.  I am currently working on my first project, which involves emailing a multitude of contacts through our Linked In database.  I will be promoting Linked In seminars and one-on-one learning sessions provided by the founder and owner of Call That Girl, Lisa Hendrickson. These seminars and personal training sessions  will increase individual’s awareness of how to use Linked In to help business operations and efficiency, as well as demonstrating how to become a networking superstar.  I will be blogging about my experiences here and explaining in more detail the ongoings of my personal projects, along with group projects I work on with my fellow interns.  My first group project will be undertaking marketing strategies and implementing them to local businesses, specifically in the business park.  Hassan, an intern here at Call That Girl and also a fellow student at UST, will primarily be working with me on that project. Thank you and keep reading periodically for updates.

Mike White

Mike

Hello all! My name is Mike White, and I’ve been interning here at Call That Girl since June 2009. A senior at the University of St. Thomas double majoring in Economics and Entrepreneurship.  I just finished my B.A. in Economics January of 2010 after taking an unforgettable month long economics course in Australia. I am also going to be taking another month long course this summer in Tibet to finish up my lifelong journey of education with another presumably unforgettable course/adventure to better prepare me for the real world out there.

I am currently working on the sales and CRM with Lisa, and loving it!  She is trying so hard to prepare my colleagues and I here at CTG for the real world while growing her business, so this has been a win-win for all of us.  Being an Entrepreneurship major, you are safe in assuming I would like to start my own company some day as she has. First, I need to get out there and strive within an established company to learn the basics that cannot be taught in a college classroom before attempting to start my own firm, and Lisa is helping me become more attractive in this unattractive economy so I am able to do so. Any additional guidance or reassuring life/career path stories of your own would be greatly appreciated! My email is mike@callthatgirl.biz

Dan Anderson

Dan

Hey everyone! I have been Finance Intern (CFO) of the “I” Crew since September 2009! I am currently in my final semester at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. I graduate from school in May 2010! Wow, it feels like freshman year was just yesterday. :)

Projects that I am proud of finishing here at Call That Girl include implementing comprehensive electronic bookkeeping and analysis with MS Excel and Quickbooks, overhauling and revamping our Business Manual of Operations, and interviewing successful new interns and hires.

Today, I am delving into more intense analysis of our company including: wages/cost of labor, product/service rates, and other general business trend/expectations. I plan on closing out my internship here on a good note by combining all of my analyses into a finished polished portfolio, and making certain that our business stays well on track with our 2010 budget! Oh, I almost forgot…I’m also searching for jobs!
